Guy Randolph Morri-
son was a Jesus follower, a husband, son, nephew, cousin, son in-law, brother, step-brother, step- broth- er-in-law, step-father, step- grandpa, uncle, great un- cle and great great uncle.
Guy went to be with Jesus on 6/24/22 at home, in the presence of his wife Cindy. Guy was born Aug. 29, 1960 to Lauren and Marjorie Morrison, and grew up going to church at First Presbyterian Church in Sanger. Guy went to Jackson elemen- tary school and WAMS Ju- nior High in Sanger. Guy has always had initiative, asayoungboyhehada paper route where he met a lot of people who he is still friends with today.
As a kid Guy loved sports, he played basket- ball, street hockey, base- ball, pole vault, football, water ski and snow ski (he learn to snow ski at a very young age as his dad was on the ski patrol at Sierra Summit) and of course he loved golf. He loved to play with his grandpa most of all.
Guy graduated from Immanuel High School in Reedley where he was in drama. He was in the play “Taming of the Shru” and played quarterback and
kicker for his school foot- ball team, he was also in track and field where he pole vaulted played ten- nis, and actually started the golf team at Imman- uel. While In high school he worked for his step- dad at his service sta- tion in Sanger but during his high school years he moved to Reedley to live with his mother’s parents and worked for Upright Harvester (put conveyer belts-together). Then he drove a box truck deliv- ering Home Interiors as a part time job. After high school he started at Fresno City College but soon decided to transfer to Tabor College to play football for “Fighting Blue Jay’s” In Kansas. He also became their Sports Informative Director and Statistician. After be- ing on the team for some time and not being able to play much (since they had 4 other quarterbacks) he realized that playing football was no longer in his future so he trans- ferred to The University of Santa Barbara. He took some acting classes as he thought he’d like to be an actor. He also worked part time at the well known restaurant “The Ellen- conto” In the Santa Bar- bara Hills. Guy met a lot of people in high school and college that he is still close friends with today. Guy’s life plan changed when his dad got the news that he was sick. When this happened He moved back to Sanger to help his dad and sister Leslie run his dad’s insurance agency and at the same time Guy went to Fresno State University major- ing in finance, while also obtaining his insurance license to work at Morri- son Insurance Associates Inc. After his dad’s pass-
ing Guy became owner / president of the Agency and ran it for 40 Years.
Guy met his wife Cin- dy in 1995 and they dated for several years before getting married in 2019.
Guy’s Favorite Bible verses were: Isaiah 40:31 and John 14:6.
Guy’s mottos:
1. Be gracious, solution oriented and full of good vibes!
2. Be a good steward of what you have, no-one is better than another.... just different perspec- tives. Then work thru op- tions wisely.
1985ish — Guy served on the Board of Directors Sanger Chamber of Com- merce under Dan “Silver voice“ Spears and the in- credible Cheryl Ing!
Continued to serve under Larry Gray and Cheryl Ing.
1. Developed Sanger JC‘s Junior Chamber of Commerce.
2. Built the park “Ga- loostian Park” at 10th and “P” St. in Sanger with the help of Ed Cuadros.
Guy served three years as co-director with Abel Trevino of Sanger Campus Life through Youth For Christ on Sanger High School campus, sharing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ – enjoying high schoolers during that time of life.
Guy was on the fun- draising committee for MARKS (making a room for kids of Sanger) - they raised $25,000 to pur- chase a room at Valley Children’s Hospital. For 1 1/2 years, he was on the fundraising committee for the Sanger boys and girls club. (2 locations and Sanger)
In 1992 Guy obtained his open water diving per- mit. He loved to dive with
his friends.
2015 - 2021 Guy was
on the fundraising com- mittee for the “Sanger Pledge” endowment scholarship- Dickens of a Christmas Annual event- their goal was to raise $450,000.
For 10 years Guy was on the Board of Direc- tors for Sanger Christian out reach he worked with Sanger Ministerial com- mittee to assist them in
1. Providing assis- tance for food & bills.
2. Develop the Flem- ing home for victims of domestic violence under the pastorage of David Rosales.
1991-2001 Guy was on the Board of Direc- tors (thru all chairs) - for Fresno County Indepen- dent Brokers & Agents.
2 years- Guy was Sec- retary for Specialty Crop Insurance League. Rep- resenting California and 22 other Specialty Crop States for Federal Crop Insurance.
2020 - Guy was given a Thank You award from the City of Sanger. Guy loved his community and
was very involved.

lier Guy loved golf and he helped sponsor many golf tournaments over the years. A special treat for him was when he got to play at Pebble Beach with one of his crop com- panies. He also sponsored many co-ed softball teams and volleyball teams for the City leagues.
Guy was proceeded in death by his father Lau- ren Morrison and step- father Harley Hickman; sister Leslie Calderon. grandparents Dan and Pauline Book and step- grandparents Harold and Harriett Hickman.
He is survived by his wife Cindy Morrison, mother Marjorie Hick- man, sister Kathleen Krohn, half-brother Chris Hickman and his wife Mi- chelle, and son Cody and daughters Leah and An- gie, step-daughter Jaclyn Moore, and step-son’s Jer- emy Smith and Brandon Smith and wife Karyn, step-grandchildren Bai- ley and Carson Moore, Hailey, Trevor, Hannah, Addisyn Ryan and Eli
Smith, nephews Adrian Calderon and his partner Stephanie Maydon, Daniel Calderon, Nieces Bianca and husband Steve Pal- maro, Carolina Calderon and partner Ben Sanchez, great nieces Alyssa and husband Josh Morales, Trinity, Lauryn and Riley, great nephews Cameron, Darian, Kasye, Amari, and Great great nieces Taytum and Mazie, step- great nephew Joseph Maydon, step-great niece Syrssa Maydon. Along with aunts, and uncles and many cousins, Guy was loved by all.

Manuel Magallanes Manuel Magallanes
of Orange Cove died June 28 in Selma. He was 42.
Mr. Magallanes worked as an assistant manager. He is sur- vived by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
Visitation was held July 13, at Sterling & Smith Funeral Home in Dinuba. A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Thurs- day, July 14, at St. Isa- dore the Farmer Catho- lic Church in Orange Cove. Burial will follow at Smith Mountain Cem- etery in Dinuba.
Gilberto Medrano
Gilberto Medrano of Sanger died July 10. He was 91.
Mr. Medrano worked as a laborer.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Guzman of Sanger; three sons and one brother.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a rosary at noon Sunday, July 17, at Wal- lin's Sanger Funeral Home. A mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 18, at St. Mary's New Catho- lic Church in Sanger.

torga of Dinuba died June 29. He was 84.
Mr. Astorga worked as a police officer. He is survived by two sons, two daughters, two brothers, one sister, 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Delgadillo worked as a sorter.
