St. La Salle celebrates Catholic Schools Week 2018
Jan. 28 – Feb. 3
The national theme this year is “Catholic Schools – Learn. Serve. Lead. Suc- ceed.” St. La Salle, the parish school of St. Anthony of Pad- ua Catholic Church and the neighboring Catholic com- munities, will celebrate 65 years of Catholic education with the following activities:
• Sunday, Jan. 28, Cel- ebrating Our Parish – At 11 a.m., the parish will celebrate the “superior education” of our values-oriented school with a Holy Mass at the new St. Anthony of Padua Catho- lic Church. The Mass will offer time to reflect on the value of a Catholic educa- tion and how it fosters faith,
knowledge, service and dis- cipline. All this prepares stu- dents for a life of service to their families, communities and the church.
After Mass, an Open House will follow at the school. Visitors can meet our students, faculty and staff. A reception will be in the school hall. Students will perform some of their best songs. Alumni will be welcomed in a special way. Registration packets will be available.
• Monday, Jan. 29, Cel- ebrating Our Community – At 8 a.m., a school prayer service will honor commu- nity members, friends and students. Our school and the community work hand- in-hand to educate the next generation of citizens. The community benefits from the school’s contribution to
