Monday, May 11
• An assault was reported in the 300 block of South Alta Avenue at 12:08 a.m. It was reported the vic- tim was assaulted by a male and a female.
• Loud music was reported in the 600 block of Kamm Avenue at 2:44 a.m.
• An unwanted person was reported in the 600 block of North Lillie at 10:42 a.m.
The Reedley Police Department handled 548 public-initiated and officer-initiated calls for service, with 79 dispatched as Priority 1 calls. Officers com- pleted 69 police reports, made 16 arrests and is- sued 13 traffic citations including three DUI ar- rests. There were no fire calls and 16 medical aid calls.

• Graffiti was located on a wall in the 2900 block of Mary Street. City crews were dispatched to clean it up.
• A domestic distur- bance was reported in the 700 block of Bethel Avenue. A female was reportedly arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery.
• A man reportedly walked into the Sanger Police Department and told officers he was hearing voices that were telling him to hurt others. He was placed on a mental health hold. • Theft from a vehicle was reported in the 900 block of Academy Av- enue. The items were reportedly stolen while it was being stored at a tow yard.
• A homicide investiga- tion was conducted in the area of 4th and O streets.
• A male subject was taken into custody for public intoxication in the 2100 block of 5th Street.

Albert A. Aranda Jr., of Selma, passed away on May 18, 2020. He was born on January 3, 1949. He was 71 years old. He was a karate instructor and had a 8th degree black belt.

• A vehicle was report- edly keyed sometime during the night in the 300 block of Bethel Av- enue. •Amaninthe2200 block of Webster Ave- nue reported that some- one had opened a cell phone account in his deceased wife’s name. • A local business in the 600 block of O Street found that someone had accessed their bank accounts over the last five months and made approximately $9,000 worth of online transac- tions.
• A male subject was re- portedly observed mas- turbating in a park in the area of Cherry and Park avenues. When he was seen, he fled the ar- ea. Officers are continu- ing to attempt to identi- fy the male subject.
• A disturbance between five male subjects was reported in the 600

He is survived by sons, Albert Aranda III and Anthony Aranda, both of Reedley, three granddaughters, Marissa Rene Aranda of Gilroy, Catalina Aranda of Reedley, and Mya Aranda of Reedley, a grandson, Asher Jay Aranda of Salinas.
Albert will be laid to rest in Selma. All Faiths Funeral Home in Fowler is making the arrangements. A private service will be held.

• A vehicle stop in the area of L and 9th streets led to a male subject be- ing arrested for violat- ing a domestic violence restraining order.
• A male subject was found to be in posses- sion of an open contain- erintheareaofOand Edgar streets. He was
found to have a mental health issue and was placed on a hold.
• An officer heard a do- mestic disturbance in the 300 block of K Street and made contact with a male and female. The male reportedly became uncooperative and, after being detained, broke free from officers and fled on foot. He was quickly apprehended and arrested for mul- tiple domestic violence charges and resisting arrest. He was later booked into the Fresno County jail.
• A female subject was arrested for trespassing at a local business in the 200 block of Academy Avenue.

Carl W. Lehner passed away peacefully May 11, 2020. He was born Oct. 22, 1939 in Appleton, WI to Carl and Emily Lehner. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Glenn. Carl attended Dinuba schools and enlisted in the Army after his graduation. He has resided in Kingsburg where he has had
his accounting business. He is survived by his daughters Jenny and Robin, his brother Paul and his sister Marie Rose.
Services will be held at a later date.

Dixie Cooper, age 81, passed away peacefully at Delta Nursing Home
on Friday, May 8th, 2020 Dixie was born on August
27, 1938 to Lloyd & Mamie Hunnicutt in Dinuba, CA.
Dixie attended Dinuba HS and graduated in June of 1956. She married the love of her life
Ernie M. Cooper in November 1956.  ey were married 62
years prior to his passing in 2019. Dixie is survived by her son
Ernie Cooper Jr, (Michele) and their children Jamin & Ariana. She is also
survived by her daughter Darla Lengvarsky, (Michael) and their children Nicholas, Jennifer and Justin.
Visiting hours at the Miller Memorial Chapel in Visalia on  ursday, May 14th will be from
