Every year, sports pro- vides some of the most unfor- gettable images that capture young athletes' moments of joy, anguish and physical ex- ertion.
We share here just a few highlights.

Fall sports All-League teams named
For Example, much of the attention in the fall was on vol- leyball.
Immanuel High School cap- tured a second straight Central Section Championship, winning the Division IV Title. They won the Division V title in 2016.
The Pirates girls volley- ball team ended a 13-year
drought by winning the North Yosemite League Champion- ship in 2017.
Meanwhile, the Immanuel High Eagles boys basketball team won a fourth straight Central Section Championship capturing the Division IV title in March.
Also in 2017, young student-
athletes signed letters of intent to universities and colleges.

Staff Report
The Central Sequoia League and North Yosemite League recently released their fall sports All-League teams.
Several Immanuel High and Reedley High athletes were represented. Here is a list of the players who earned All-League honors.
Football
The Reedley High Pi- rates football team had five players earn All-NYL First Team honors. Running back Jairo Aguilar, receiver Maverick Meeker, offensive
linemen Pedro Reyes, line- backer Daniel Badilla, and defensive linemen Javier Perez all were selected.
Immanuel High had three players chosen for the All-CSL First Team.
Receiver Bradley Collins-Dunn, offensive line- men Colby Paulson and de- fensive back Adam Simonian represented the Eagles.

Pirates down Titans

Down 16-12 to the Or- ange Cove High Titans after the first quarter of play, the Reedley High Pirates girls basketball team looked to find a rhythm. In the next three quarters, they did.
The Pirates outscored the Titans 61-7 the rest of the game to earn a dominate 73-23 win over the Titans on Dec. 19 at Reedley High School.
“We had a week off and we haven't really been playing in games. It was getting back into the game mentality,” said Matt Wilkinson, Reedley High
head coach. “Credit to Orange Cove, they played scrappy. Once we settled down then we got into our rhythm.”
As of Dec. 26, Reedley High was 3-6 overall.
Madison Haney scored 14 points to lead Reedley High, while Reese Kubo had 13. Ab- by Delport had 12 points, and Kiki Henry had eight.
With the game tied 18-18 with three minutes left in the second quarter, the Pirates went on a 16-0 run to end the first half and take a 34-18 lead into halftime. Reedley High
