• Officers made an arrest for
suspected domestic violence in the 300 block of Bethel Av- enue.
• A man was arrested for pos- session drug paraphernalia in the 1400 block of 14th Street. • Theft was reported in the 800 block of Academy Avenue.
• A person was arrested for possession of drug parapher- nalia in the 1700 block of 7th Street.
• A male was arrested for reckless driving at Jensen Avenue and L Street.
• A person was arrested for theft in the 2700 block of Jen- sen Avenue.
• A trespassing advisement was issued in the 900 block of K Street.
• Death threats were reported in the 900 block of Church Av- enue.
Sunday, January 23
There were 86 calls for ser- vice and no traffic citations were issued.
• Theft was reported in the 300 block of Academy Av- enue.
• A mental health evaluation was conducted in the 2500 block of Jensen Avenue.
• Vandalism was reported in the 500 block of Morton Av- enue.
• A mental health evaluation was conducted in the 2500 block of 5th Street.
• A subject attacked family members with a beer bottle in the 1300 block of J Street. The person was taken into custody for assault with a deadly weapon and later transported to the Fresno County Jail.

13th and G Streets at 1:21 a.m. when they witnessed a vehicle strike a parked vehicle before leaving the area. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and attempted to stop it, but the driver failed to yield and led offi- cers on a pursuit. During the pursuit, the driver turned off his headlights and accelerated to more than 100 miles per hour in an attempt to avoid capture. When the driver reached the roundabout at Dinuba and Buttonwil- low avenues, the driver was unable to navigate the turn and his vehicle slid and struck a light pole. The crash caused the driver to become pinned in the vehicle, and he had to be extricat- ed by officers. The driver, 34-year-old Angilberto Manzo of Visalia, eventu- ally was arrested for suspected DUI and felony evading arrest.
• A resident in the 1400 block of West Olson Avenue reported at 5:58 a.m. that someone tried to gain access into the community mailboxes.
• A resident in the 1300 block of North Valencia Avenue reported at 11 a.m. an unknown subject caught on camera attempting to gain access to the com- munity mailbox.
• A resident in the 1700 block of North Reed Avenue reported at 11:56 a.m. that the community mailboxes were vandalized.
• A residential burglary was report-

• A non-injury traffic collision with road block- age was reported at 3:19 p.m. at East El Monte Way and Crawford Av- enue.

• A vehicle stop at 11:45
p.m. in the 2000 block of East El Monte Way re- sulted in the arrest of a Dinuba man for driving on a suspended license because of DUI.

• The theft of a purse from a shopping cart was reported at 7:49 a.m. at the Walmart in the 700 block of West El Monte Way.
• A cold theft of a truck last seen on Jan. 18 was reported at 8:06 a.m. in the 300 block of South K Street.
• Vandalism inside a vacant building was re- ported at 8:25 a.m. in the 100 block of West Kern Street.
• A possible DUI was reported at 5:20 p.m. at
El Monte Way and Craw- ford Avenue.
• A possible DUI involv- ing a beige Suburban was reported at 6:04 p.m. heading east on El Monte Way near Lincoln Avenue.
• Four to five shots were reported at 9:30 p.m. at Eaton Avenue and El Monte Way.
• A residential burglary to an apartment was re- ported at 10:13 p.m. in the 300 block of South College Avenue.

• The theft of a trailer was reported at 8:28 a.m. was reported in the 42300 block of Road 68. • Commercial burglary at a church at reported at 9:21 a.m. at H Street

• The theft of shoes was reported at 5:09 p.m. in the 600 block of Country Place.
• A vehicle stop at about midnight following a report of shots fired in the 400 block of Cali- fornia Avenue led to the arrest of a Cutler man for active outstanding warrants for driving on a suspended license be- cause of DUI.

2022 Measure S Gang Prevention/ Intervention Grant Program Now Accepting Applications through March 18, 2022
The City of Sanger has established a grant program which provides Measure S funding to address anti-gang and anti-drug strategies including prevention, intervention, and youth development. Priority will be given to programs that implement identified best practices to address youth gang violence. Applications are due Friday, March 18, 2022, by 4 PM. The funding grant cycle is from July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023.
