Monday, July 20
• Loud music was re- ported in the 1800 block of Dunbar Way at 12:05 a.m.
• A reckless driver was reported in the area of East North Way and Al- ta Avenue at 6:51 a.m.
• A non-injury traffic accident was reported in the area of East El Monte and Monte Vista at 9:28 a.m.
• Theft was reported in
The Reedley Police Department handled 572 public-initiated and offi- cer-initiated calls for ser- vice, with 93 dispatched as Priority 1 calls. Offi- cers completed 77 police reports, made 28 arrests and issued 11 traffic ci- tations. There were six traffic collisions along with four DUI cases, seven fire calls and 27 medical aid calls.

• A suspicious subject was reported in the 700 block of Monte Vista Drive at 12:03 a.m.
• A patrol check was re- ported in the 400 block of West Franklin Way at 9:26 a.m.
• A neighbor problem was reported in the 600 block of Bellis Avenue
at 2:24 p.m.
• Trespassing was re- ported in the 1300 block of Park Way at 2:27 p.m. A subject was reported at a vacant home.

Rick Hernandez March 11, 1954 - July 17, 2020
Rick Hernandez died unexpectedly on July 17th, 2020 in Fresno, CA at the age of 66 while visiting family.
Rick is survived by his children, Amy Hall (Cam- eron) and Aaron; grandchil- dren, Adrian Hall and Max Hall, siblings, Mary Olvera (Reedley), Lilly Hernandez (Fresno), Nadine Holden (Sacramento), Waldo Her- nandez (California) and Sosa Hernandez (Sacramento). He is preceded in death by his wife of 30 years Joy Dorene Hernandez (Nee Keith,
2019), his parents Luciana and Concepcion Hernandez and his brother Ernest Hernandez (2013).
Rick was born on March 11th, 1954 in Dinuba California to Luciana and Concepcion Hernandez. He graduated from Dinuba High School in 1973. He married Joy (Nee Keith), in 1990.  e couple welcomed two children into their home. His children remember him as a patient and devoted father who encouraged them to pursue their goals.
Rick was a generous individual who loved people and who was passionate about music. In 2013 a er becoming a grandfather, he moved to North Carolina to be with his grandchildren and to provide support to his daughter and son-in law who are both active duty service members. In 2018 Rick and Joy followed their daughter to San Antonio, TX where they presided at death.
A viewing is scheduled for Saturday, August 1st 2020 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Dopkins Funeral Chapel in Di- nuba, CA. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Rick’s life and to say their goodbyes. April 14, 1929 - June 21, 2020
It is with great sadness that the family of Ruth M. Logan, an-
nounce that she passed away peacefully on the morning of
June 21,2020 surrounded by her family at the age of 91. Ruth was a beloved Wife,
mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and she will be missed by them all
every day.Ruth was born on April 14,1929 in Kodaikanal,
South India, to Dr. George Nelson and his wife Hazel. Her Dad and Mom had gone to India
in 1927 to help out as missionar- ies in the medical hospital.  ey had
two more children a daughter Geraldine, and son Richard.  ey lived in India for 13 years, and then they moved back to the United States where they lived in Boulder, CO for a couple years and then moved to Fresno, CA in 1945, where her Dad started his medical practice. She met the love of her life Ken Logan, on her 17thbirthday. A couple months later she graduated from Fresno Adventist Academy and 6 months later they were married on December 1, 1946.  ey went on to have 71 wonderful years together. ey moved to Angwin, CA where they both attended Paci c Union College. A er graduation they moved to Loma Linda, Ca where their son Bruce was born in 1952. Ken was accepted into dental school at UOP in 1953 and they moved to San Francisco. Ruth worked as a Secretary in the San Francisco o ce for Governor Edmond G. Brown, while Ken went to School. ey moved to Dinuba, Ca in 1957, where Ken opened his dental practice.  ey went on to have 2 more children, son Bill and daughter Lori. Ruth loved her family more than anything, while her 2 younger children were attending Dinuba Junior Academy, she would help out with  eld trips and cooking hot lunches, for the students.  ey attended the Seventh-Day Adventist church in Dinuba where she taught sabbath school, and helped with Vacation Bible School during the summer. She wanted her children to grow up in a Christian household knowing God’s love.She and Ken loved going to Yosemite,
and would o en leave early in the morning on a Saturday for Yosemite, spend the day going to Vernal Falls or biking around Yosemite Valley, and then come home, this was their favorite place to be. She loved the outdoors, and during the summer she and her best friend Virginia, would take the children and go camping in Yosemite for a week. When Bruce’s children were old enough, they started going backpacking, leaving from Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite and hiking several miles every day  nding another area to camp at each night.  ey
did this yearly until Ruth turned 71. She also enjoyed going
on several cruises to Alaska, with her family.She is preceded
in death by her Parents, and Husband Ken.Ruth is survived
by her children Bruce Logan, Bill Logan, Lori and son-in-law Randy Baerg. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Colby and Megan Logan, Scott and Alana Logan, Mendy and Danny Dearborn, her 10 great-grandchildren, and siblings Geraldine and Gene Knittel and Richard and Janet Nelson.
 e family will hold a private service at the Bakers eld National CemeteryA Celebration of her Life
will be held at a later date.
