need to do Evita, when I saw this, she was the first person I thought of," Valencia said. "They're doing "Evita" at Col- lege of the Sequoias, you need to audition. So we both decid- ed to audition."
Valencia added that the auditions were open to com- munity members and those interested didn't necessarily have to be enrolled at the cam- pus to be in the production.
"But for community mem- bers who are in it, we can ba- sically take a credit for it," added Valencia.
James McDonald will be director of the production and said the cast has been working long hours for the past seven weeks.
"This show has exciting- but-challenging music, dance numbers, and staging for oth- er sequences," said McDonald.
"Simultaneously, we've al-
so been building the costumes and the set. This is quite a large undertaking, and I hope that it looks effortless and easy, when the audience sees it that means we've done our job well."
McDonald added that he is extremely proud of his cast and crew.
"This has all been very en- joyable, this is a very talented and a great cast to work with," he said. "I've been so privi- leged to have good students and community members audition for the play. There was a lot of interest in this piece, so from that end, it has all been so wonderful and re- warding."
Evita will open on March 15, and showings will continue on March 16,22,23 at 7:30 p.m.
A March 21 show will be- gin at 6:30 p.m. A March 17 and 24 showing will begin at 1 p.m.

aging students to live healthi- er lifestyles.
"We've just been bring- ing in different fourth grade classes throughout the Kings Canyon Unified School Dis- trict," said Flores. "And we've been teaching them about health, fitness, keeping their body healthy, preventative measures and tying that in with Adventist Health and the school based health clinic."
Wara added that helping to teach students good eating, exercise and hygiene habits is an important tool they can take with them the rest of their lives.
"Brushing your teeth,

when to wash your hands or when to use hand sanitizer, got them moving a little bit, and just had a good time," Wara said.
"Because this is some- thing that impacts us all the way from now, until when we're older. So making healthy choices, learning now how to do that, gives them an oppor- tunity to put those skills to use."
The program has been well received by the students. Flores and Wara said they make it a point to visit the clinic and educate a differ- ent classroom every Friday. A short exercise routine was also included in the visit.
"You guys a little chilly so we're going to warm you up a little bit," said Wara. "I
need you to spread out just a little bit and take a few steps back. This is an easy game, probably one of the easiest things you do all day. When I say jump, you're just going to jump in place. When I say stop what do you think you're going to do?"
"Stop!" the class replied.
Following the routine, stu- dents were also taught how long they should be exercising every day.
"Do you guys know how many minutes you need each day?" Wara asked the stu- dents. "One hour or sixty min- utes, exactly, does it have to be all in a row? No, of course not."
Renee Delport, media offi- cer for the Kings Canyon Uni- fied School District, said that
the district has participated in Fun Fitness Friday's for sev- eral years.
However, Delport said that partnering with Adven- tist Health has brought a new level of enrichment and edu- cation to the program.
"KCUSD has been blessed with a very special partner- ship with Adventist Health and the Fresno County De- partment of Public Health," said Delport.
The event involves 4th grade students from our var- ious school sites visiting the Jefferson Adventist Clinic. The Jefferson Clinic is known as a school-based health cen- ter that is located on our Jef- ferson School campus and run by Adventist Health."
