Huge game for Cropper as Bulldogs improve to 4-1
 MVT Staff Report
A huge second half by quarterback Jake Haener and receiver Jalen Cropper helped Fresno State's national- ly-ranked football team avoid a deflating upset against the UNLV Rebels on Sept. 24.
Haener and Cropper, Parli- er native and former prep star at Sanger and Buchanan, hooked up for three second-
half touchdowns – four overall — to power the 18th-ranked Bulldogs back from a two- score deficit to pull out a 38- 30 victory. Cropper's four-TD performance tied the school record held by three others, and earned the junior Moun- tain West Player of the Week honors.

with scoring pass plays cov- ering 4 and 23 yards. Cropper, who caught the game-winning score in an up- set of UCLA the week previous, then caught a 25-yard TD pass
field goal with less than seven minutes remaining, Cropped had a 26-yard TD reception with just under five minutes left for the winning points.
Cropper finished with 10 receptions for 108 yards. For the season, he has 39 catches for 455 yards and eight TDs, with a long play of 86 yards.
Senior Arron Mosby had another big night for the Bull- dogs, making two tackles for
losses. The Sanger High prod- uct has 8.5 tackles for losses on the season, 22 total tackles, three sacks, three forced fum- blers and a 31-yard fumble re- turn for a score.
The Bulldogs (4-1) go back on the road this weekend. trav- eling to Hawaii for an 8 p.m. game against the Rainbows on Saturday, Oct. 2. The game will be televised nationally on the CBS Sports Network.

Immanuel compiled 344 total yards, and de- fensively collected five interceptions (two by Davila and one each for Luke Harder, Romo and Jason Poole).
Orosi 31, Caruthers 29
The Cardinals (4-1) got another big rushing effort from sophomore Andrew Camarillo to hold off the Blue Raid- ers in their West Sequoia League opener. The game was moved from Orosi to Caruthers because of the excessive bad air qual- ity in the east end of the Central Valley.
Camarillo picked up 216 yards on 356 carries and scored four touch- downs. The Cardinals also had a 41-yard field goal from Kevin Guer- rero that proved to be the difference in the game.

At Orange Cove, the Titans (2-3) evened their WSL record at 1-1 by rolling to a 29-0 halftime lead and 35-0 cushion af- ter three quarters. The win snapped a three- game slide for Orange Cove, which travels to Fowler on Friday, Oct. 1.

Laxavier Moore was credit- ed with 14 tackles (10 solo) and also had Reedley’s only quar- terback sack to lead the Tiger defense.
“Laney is a good team,” said Tigers head coach Rob Harten- fels. He added that the Eagles were the quickest team Reed- ley has faced all season.
Hartenfels said that both quarterbacks support each other. "They both root for the other one more than you would think," he said.
