Immanuel High homecoming
State donates $1M to RC aviation program
Immanuel High School held its 2021 Homecoming Night on Sept. 24, before and at halftime of the Eagles' football game with Yosemite High from Oakhurst. All four class years rode in their designed floats in front of the main grandstand at County Line Stadium. At halftime, candidates for King and Queen were intro- duced to the crowd and the 2021-22 royal court was announced. The evening was an overall success for the school, as the football team posted a 41-0 victory.

MVT Staff Report
Grapes – wine and table along with raisin grapes — were har- vested in Fresno County during the August crop
report that was released earlier this week.
For the period ending Aug. 31, the Fresno Coun- ty Department of Agri- culture announced that wine and table grapes were harvested for sale and vineyards continued to undergo irrigation,
cultivation and pesticide treatment as needed. As for raisin grapes, 60 per- cent were on the vine and 35 percent on open trays, with 4 percent rolled and 1 percent boxed.
The harvest season continued for peach and nectarine orchards, and
many orchards in the re- gion had completed the harvest season and were starting to begin the dor- mant season pruning pro- cess.
The almond harvests in the county were in full swing, FCDA reported, with processing of stored almond under way. Pista- chio and walnut orchards continued to mature dur- ing the month and were prepped for September harvest. The vast variety of stone fruits in the re- gion, including peaches, plums and nectarines, were packed and export- ed to 49 countries glob- ally, covering all main continents.
Field crops continued their growth in August, with alfalfa for hay con- tinuing to be cut, win- dowed and baled. Cotton fields in the county were growing well, and were still flowering and set- ting bolls as of the end of August.
