Dinuba police arrested two Reedley men in separate incidents involving weapons that occurred within hours of one another on Sept. 21.
At 8:30 p.m. that day, DPD of- ficers were dispatched to the 600 block of Lillie Avenue for a report of a subject shooting into an occu- pied building. They discovered at least one round discharged into a dwelling and that the suspect had left the scene.
Investigators were able to iden-
tify the suspect
and the following
day, went to arrest
41-year-old Flor-
encio Garcia at a
residence on East
Early Avenue in
Reedley. Garcia
briefly fled from
the scene by foot,
but was tracked down and taken into custody. He was booked into the Tulare County Jail on charges of attempted murder.
Also on Sept. 21, shortly after 11 p.m., officers made a vehicle stop
in the 1000 block of West Nebraska Avenue. The driver, identified as 35-year-old Hector Garcia of Reed- ley, fled on foot into there Viscaya Homes neighborhood. Garcia re- portedly jumped several fences in the 800 block of Bellis Avenue, but was taken into custody.
Officers located a .40 caliber handgun in the vehicle, along with a fully-loaded high-capacity maga- zine. Garcia also was in possession of both 9 millimeter and .380 am- munition.
Garcia was booked into jail on four charges.
