This large, gentle lab boy was found wandering on July 4 on Lorena Avenue near Greenwood Avenue in Sanger. He had earlier been seen near Reagan Elementary School and in the Fairbanks and Church avenues neighborhood.
He can only stay with the good folks who picked him up for another couple of weeks.

Sweet and gentle Sasha looks like she might be a full blood- ed Great Pyrenees dog. She has the Great Pyrenees looks and temperament, said animal control volunteer Kim Reed. "She's probably not even 2 years old and may have some growing and filling out to do," said Kim. Sasha likes walks, children and other dogs. She's very affectionate and patient, said Kim.

There's a place to cool off in Sanger when the you need a place to escape from the heat.
Thanks to a grant from PG&E the City of Sanger annex building at 1789 Jensen Avenue will be opened from noon to 6 p.m. as a cooling center every time the temperature reaches or tops 105 degrees.
