Reedley High’s boys posted a road victory in their lone basketball game of the week, de- feating the Lindsay Car- dinals by a 54-47 score on Nov. 30.
The Pirates (3-1) had a home game scheduled with the Yosemite High Badgers of Oakhurst on Nov. 26, but a forecast of snow in the mountains al- tered the Badgers’ travel plans and forced a can- cellation of the game.
Reedley High opened play in the Sierra Pacific Tournament in Hanford on Dec. 4 with a game against Coalinga High. A win would advance the Pirates to a 4:45 p.m. contest Thursday, Dec.
5, against the loser of the Sierra Pacific-Ex- eter game. A loss would have the Pirates playing at 2:15 p.m. against the Kern Valley-Miramonte loser.
Games are scheduled daily through Saturday, Dec. 7, and matchups will be determined on a rotational basis.
The Pirates then will participate in the Liberty- Madera Ranchos tourna- ment on Dec. 12-14, and have a single non-league game at Kingsburg High on Friday, Dec. 20.

The Dinuba High girls basketball team played a solid first half to seize a 19-14 lead but the second half was a dif- ferent story.
Visiting Sanger out- scored the Lady Emper- ors in the second half in a non-league win on Nov. 22 in Dinuba.
The win improved the Lady Apaches to 3-1 overall while Dinuba slips to 3-2.
Dinuba coach Benny Prado said his team sim- ply couldn’t make shots.
“We were bailing
them out by not attack- ing them inside, way too many open shots,” Prado said.
On the flipside, Sanger’s offense found its groove to start the third quarter scoring five quick points and tied the game on a layup by junior Andrea Chapa.
Consecutive baskets by juniors Taylor Roth and Mia Castro gave Sanger a 26-22 lead. A jumper by Dinuba’s Ash- ley Flores kept the Lady Emperors close before Roth drained a 3-pointer with under 10 seconds to

Orosi High’s football team trav- elled five hours to clash with No. 1 Bishop Union.
The Cardinals were riding a seven-game winning streak and playing their best football of the season, but turnovers made a big difference in the outcome as the host Broncos claimed the Central Section Division VI title with a 34-7 win Saturday night at John Schwab Field.
Orosi committed three of their four turnovers in the first half and never recovered as they end the season with an 11-4 record while
the Broncos move on to the CIF State Division 6-A playoffs with a 12-2 mark.
“We had opportunities to stay in the game but four turnovers in the red zone killed us,” said OHS coach Ben White. “We were able to move the ball up and down the field, but unfortunately we weren’t able to finish.”
White said the Cardinals never punted but the turnovers and two QB sacks on 4th down, sealed their fate.
“Give Bishop credit, they were the No. 1 seed for a reason.” White said. “Their defense was good and their quarterback [Luke McClean] was the best player we faced all
season. We couldn’t contain him and that really hurt us.”
The Cardinals took the opening possession marching to Bishop’s 19 yard line. On a 4th and 6, ju- nior quarterback Evan Lara was intercepted by cornerback Jaydan Braithwaite.
After forcing a Bishop punt, the Cardinals went to work again driving to the Broncos’ 15 yard line. Bishop’s Darren Dondero in- tercepted a pass to end that threat. The Broncos then went on an 11 play, 97-yard drive punctuated by a 1-yard TD run by running back Steven Paco for a 7-0 lead early in
