Kings River Conservancy warden patrol fundraiser Dec. 4

The Kings River Conser- vancy will host the annual Frank P. Jones Memorial War- den Patrol Fund Barbeque on Saturday, Dec. 4.
The goal of the event is to raise money to fund extra warden patrols on the Kings River to help reduce the trout poaching pressure and deter vandalism.

Donna Faye Domeni-
ci of Dinuba died Nov. 20 in Selma. She was 74. Mrs. Domenici
worked as a caretaker. She is survived by her husband, Joe Do- menici of Dinuba; one son, one brother and
one sister.
No services were
scheduled. Dopkins Di- nuba Funeral Chapel handled the arrange- ments.
Mary Ellen Farmer
Mary Ellen Farmer
of Sanger died Nov. 18. She was 82.
Mrs. Farmer worked as a loan officer for Bank of America.
She is survived by her husband, Roger Farmer of Sanger; and one son.
A graveside service was held Nov. 30 at Sanger Cemetery.

Olga Solis Garcia
Olga Solis Garcia of Sanger died Nov. 16.
The barbecue will be held at the home of Greg and Deb Lapp in Sanger from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch will consist of brats and hot dogs, chips, drinks and side dishes.
The money raised from various raffles will directly benefit sport fishing to help stop poachers along the riv- er and will be matched by the Ted Martin River Fund administered by the Central
Valley Community Founda- tion (CVCF).
In the past 11 years, more than $110,000 has been raised by this effort and has been ef- fective in enforcing fishing regulations along the river. The increased warden patrols help ensure fishers are releas- ing and abiding by other limits.
Tickets to win two sepa- rate trips will be available. The first trip will feature
guided fishing for two peo- ple for two days on the Ow- ens River in the Bishop area. This trip is scheduled for Jan. 24-25, 2022 and the drawing will be held at the barbeque on Dec. 4.
The second trip is fishing for two people in Yellowstone National Park, including two days on the water. This trip is scheduled for Aug. 22-24, 2022 (with Aug. 23-24 on the
water). Included is three nights stay at a house in West Yellowstone (one room provided). Meals and trans- portation are not included. This drawing will be held at the annual Spring Fling event next April.

de Gutierrez of Reed- ley died Nov. 21 in Los Angeles. She was 68.
Mrs. Gutierrez was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Angel Gutierrez Rojas, four sons, two daughters and 24 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from4to7p.m.witha rosary at 5 p.m. Mon- day, Dec. 6, at Dopkins Reedley Funeral Cha- pel. A mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Reedley. Interment
will be at Reedley Cem- etery.

ton McHaley of Sanger died Nov. 20 in Fresno. He was 82.
Mr. McHaley worked as a carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Laverne McHaley of Sanger; one son, two daughters, two brothers, seven grand- children and nine great- grandchildren.
No services were held. Interment was at Sanger Cemetery.

Alicia Deanne Pierce
of Squaw Valley died Nov. 13 in Squaw Valley. She was 37.
Ms. Pierce worked as a certified nursing assistant.
She is survived by one daughter, her par- ents; one brother and two sisters.

Wreaths for Reedley Veterans event returns on Dec. 18

The Wreaths for Reedley Veterans wreath laying event makes its return for 2021 on Satur- day, Dec. 18, at the Reed- ley Cemetery's Memorial Service Building.
Wreaths will be transported by trucks to the cemetery from the Armory building begin-
ning at 9 a.m. The cere- mony to lay out wreaths at the gravesides of ap- proximately 1,800 vet- erans in the cemetery takes place at 10 a.m. There now tare enough wreaths for every single veteran at the cemetery, as well as stainless steel hangers made by scouts and volunteers.

laying event to honor the city's veterans re- turns in full this year after a two-year absence because of the coronavi- rus pandemic. Organiz- ers ask that all involved wear a mask and keep as much social distancing as possible.

  As of the Tuesday, Nov. 30 update, there were 144,282 cases (per 100,000 population) of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) out of 1,973,263 tests in Fresno County, with 2,254 deaths and 205 hospitalizations (53 in ICU).
cases and 18 deaths. Del Rey increased to 422 cases (1,287 in region) while the Fowler region had 1,726 cases (1,400 in the city) and 29 deaths through Nov. 30. Dunlap and Miramonte had a total case number of 590.
Among Mid Valley Times cities in the county through Nov. 30, the Reedley region has amassed the most total overall positive cases with 9,744 (4,900 in the city proper) and 85 deaths in data on the Fresno County Department of Public Health website.
In Tulare County, there was a total of 69,777 confirmed cases (1,027 active, a decrease of 283 for the week) of COVID- 19 with 1,089 deaths and 87 people hospitalized (20 in ICU) as of Tuesday, Nov. 30. Breakdowns by cities/regions show 5,912 total cases in Dinuba, 1,961 in Orosi, 1,003 in Cutler, 375 in Traver, 124 in the rural area south of Reedley and 40 in the area southeast of Orange Cove.
Through the Nov. 30 update, Sanger (including immediate surrounding rural areas) shows 9,556 cases (6,300 in the city) and 82 deaths; Parlier was at 3,400 cases (3,815 region) with 48 deaths and Orange Cove had 2,100 (3,694 regional)
A total of 67,661 people (97 percent) in Tulare County were listed as recovered as of Tuesday, Nov. 30.

In Tulare County, ac- tive cases for the week declined by nearly 300, to 1,027 as of Nov. 30. The positivity rate had dipped to 4 percent and new cas- es per 100,000 declined to 12.1 for its lowest showing in recent weeks this fall.
As of early this week, 64.3 percent of Fresno County residents had re- ceived at least one dose of the vaccine (542,197 final doses), while more than 250,000 in Tulare County had been fully vaccinated.
The Omicron vari- ant, first identified in Botswana and South Af- rica, has not yet hit the United States with ac- tive cases at the start of the week. However, the California Department of Public Health is advising Californians to help slow any spread of the virus by getting vaccinated, continuing to wear mask when indoors, get tested if exhibiting any symptoms and stay home if sick.
