Deaths climbed for the week by 16, to 1,662.
Tulare County also had drops and jumps during the week. Active cases dropped as low as 235 before climbing back up to 257 by April 27. There were three ad- ditional deaths, bringing the total to 834 since the pandemic took full ef- fect in March 2020. Hos- pitalizations climbed by three before tailing back to 20, the same number hospitalized as of last week.
Mid Valley Times cities in Tulare County have seen new and ac- tive cases level off. Di- nuba, one of the hardest- hit communities in the county early on in the pandemic, only added three total cases dur- ing the week, and active cases in the past three weeks dropped by one, to 19. Orosi also added just three total cases and is down to five in the past three weeks while Cutler added just one and Traver remained unchanged.
City figures on the Fresno County CO- VID-19 website are rounded to the near- est thousand residents by city, and there have been no updates on the site posted in the past week. Sanger, Reedley, Parlier, Orange Cove and Del Rey all have the same numbers posted, and the 30-day case inci- dent rates also were re- porting the same as last week.
