Open Gate Ministries will be celebrating its 45th Anniversary at a Red Carpet Event on Sept. 5 at Living Word Fellowship in Dinuba. The Dinuba High School Class of 1979 plans its 40th class reunion on Sept. 28 at Fort Washington Country Club in

Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno plans a fundraising vendor fair and yard sale from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 14 at KC's Ranch, 6414 S. Pederson Ave. in Reedley. The Sanger High cheer team plans a fundraising car wash at 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 31 at CVS, 333 Academy Ave. in Sanger. The money will be used to support the team. They ask that people show up to support their cheer leaders.

Sanger Mayor Frank Gonzalez has taken on the job of representative for Toys for Tots in Sanger and Reedley to help provide presents for children in need for Christmas. His work supports Jessica Montano, Toys for Tots coordinator. He is looking for any schools, churches or nonprofits that could have children from infant to 12 years old in need of toys this Christmas.
