“Three years. Another celebration. The whole neighborhood participates in all the activities. It’s good for families. And a good price for the tacos and everything.”

They also worked constantly, restocking drinks and doing whatever the were told. And all Javier’s siblings helped, Evelia, Linda, Juanita, Criselda and Beto. The Elizondo matriarch, the original Evelia, made sure she danced whenever she got the chance.

Learning is a snap! Elenco’s Snap Circuits makes learning electronics easy and fun! Kids have fun while learning the basics of electricity. These classes will be taking place the first and third Wednesday of every month for ages 6 and up. Classes will begin at 2 p.m.

St. La Salle Catholic School has a couple of events in September. The Jog-a-Thon on Sept. 13 challenges students to walk, jog or run to show support for the school and raise awareness of the importance of having an active healthy lifestyle with positive choices. Students seek sponsors for support. Pledges can be made on an “amount per lap” basis or can be collected at any time as a flat donation.
All funds raised to directly benefit St. La Salle students in the classrooms and throughout the school. The school’s annual Girls Volleyball Tournament starts at 8 a.m. Sept. 14. Junior high students will be playing. Both events are at the school, 404 Manning Ave.

“We’re currently recruiting and will start the fall season in September,” said coach Nate Rodriguez. “Our organization is based on giving girls from Sanger the ability to play softball at low cost. We just came off fifth in the 10U at the world series in Manteca in July.”

also enjoyed playing at the park and attending Sanger’s National Night Out event at Sanger Park earlier this summer.
Vendors included Tony Lopez, owner of Armor of Faith Apparel of Fresno. “We’re out here doing it for the king of kings,” he said. “I do
a lot of outreach. Just to remind everyone of the Lord. Just to love on everybody.”
Lopez said seven years ago God changed his life. And he said he enjoys telling his story to others. “It’s more than just apparel,” he said. “It’s a message to the world. That’s our core value. It’s all
about unity, coming together. Through Christ, all things are possible.”
