Barton J. McMurray
Barton John McMurray was born on February 9, 1951 in Seattle, WA and passed away on Friday, August 16, 2019 in Sanger, CA at the age of 68. He was a graduate of Sanger High School and attended Fresno Pacific University.
Barton worked as a self-employed farm machinery me- chanic in the Sanger area. He enjoyed many outdoor activi- ties including backpacking, cross-country skiing, fishing, and off-roading. He was a member of the Fresno County Sher- riff’s Jeep Rescue Unit.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Cleda Shepiro.
He is survived by his parents, Cleda and Walter Rodrigues of Sanger; sisters, Dedra Rodrigues of Fresno, Nolie Hillshiffer and husband, Paul of Salem, OR, Melinda Moreno and hus- band, Gabe of Squaw Valley, and Amedee Bricky-Long and husband, Michael of Sacramento. His many nieces and neph- ews also survive him.
His family and many friends will remember his loving and giving spirit.
A Celebration of Barton’s Life will be held at Academy Church, 10677 N. Madsen Ave., Clovis, CA 93619 on Satur- day, September 7, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
