This was the first game for both players, who sat out 30 days to begin the season as required by CIF rules regard- ing players who transfer to a different school. Both players
did so before the season. Rodriguez transferred to Immanuel from Reedley High, while Daglish trans- ferred from Redwood High
in Visalia.
“The addition of Jordan
and Kaleb really helped us with depth,” Woods said. “Also we were able to speed the game up and go inside more on offense.”
Immanuel played Ex- eter High School on Jan. 17 at Immanuel High.

The Eagles play Dinuba High School on Friday, Jan. 19, in Dinuba. They then will play Kingsburg High School on Tuesday, Jan. 23, at Immanuel High.
“I'm telling them that every game counts,” Woods said. “We need to come in mentally prepared because we will get every team's best effort.”

Members of the Reedley High School Track and Field team recently attended the World Record Camp for Track and Field in Covina. Pirates athletes who chose to participate were: Quinn Johnson, Crystal Macedo, Spencer Boling, Jeremy Hager, Crystal Reyes, Max Zavala, and Anthony Lujan. These athletes becameambassadorsonaninternationalstage,representingtheirteam,school,andthecityofReedley. All events were coached by Olympic & world class coaches and athletes: Willie Banks (Triple Jump), Brian Yokoya- ma (PV), Mike Powell (Long Jump), Toni Campbell (Hurdles),Geo Lanaro (PV),Gregg Simmons(Sprints),Doug Nordquist (High Jump), Bill Rinear (PV), Jaqueline Hanson (marathon), Japanese Olympian Daichi Sawano (PV), and Trevor Robinson (Throws). The Japanese Junior Paralympics were represented as well as 2 pole vault record holders Shingo Sawa and Masaki Ejima.

RHS Girls Basketball
The Reedley High Pirates girls basketball team lost to Dinuba High School 33-25 on Jan. 8 at Reedley High School.
Precious Hawkins led the Pirates with 12 points, while Reese Kubo had five.
As of Jan. 16, the Pirates were 4-13 overall and 0-2 in the NYL.
They play McLane High School on Friday, Jan. 19, in Fresno. They then play Fres- no High School on Wednes- day, Jan. 24, at Reedley High School.

Zoe March, former Immanuel High basketball star, has started all 20 games this season for the Azusa Pacific University Cougars women's basketball team. March, who is in her sophomore sea- son, leads the nation with a 4.7 assists to turnover ratio.

Led by Ruben Parks who scored 21 points, the Reedley Col- lege Tigers men's basketball team earned their first Central Valley Conference victory.
The Tigers defeated Cerro Coso College 86-76 on Jan. 10 in Ridgecrest. They then lost to College of the Sequoias 84-63 on Jan. 13 in Visalia.
As of Jan., 16, the Tigers are 5-10 overall and 1-3 in the CVC.
On Jan. 10, Reedley College took a 52-36 lead into halftime and held on in the second half.
Hassan Bolden had 20 points, while Alfredo Jimenez had 13 points.
Elijah Clark ended with 12 points, and Elijah Jefferies had 11.
On Jan. 13, the Tigers fell behind 45-32 at halftime and were
unable to recover in the second half.
Parks and Jimenez each had 20 points. Parks added 12 re-
bounds.
Reedley College played Merced College on Jan. 17 in Mer-
ced. No score was available at presstime.
They will play Fresno City College on Saturday, Jan. 20, at
Reedley College. They play Porterville College on Wednesday, Jan. 24, in Reedley.
RC Women's Basketball
The Tigers women's basketball team fell to 1-2 in the CVC with a 66-37 loss to College of the Sequoias on Jan. 13 in Visalia. I'man Conley led the Tigers with 11 points, while Nyla Cur-
tis had eight points and 11 rebounds.
Reedley College played Merced College on Jan. 17. No score was
available at presstime.
The Tigers play Fresno City College on Saturday, Jan. 20, at
Reedley College.
RC Baseball
The Reedley College Tigers baseball team will open the 2018 season on Friday, Jan. 26, against Laney College in San Francisco. They then will play Sierra College on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 27 and Jan. 28, in San Francisco.
The Tigers' first home game of the season will be on Thurs- day, Feb. 1, against Hartnell College.

“I see the court differ- ently and see more oppor- tunities to set up my team- mates. I am able to relax and enjoy the game more,” March said. “I am taking full advantage of my team this year. My teammates' hand- work is what has helped me be a leader in the nation.”
March had a large con- tingent of fans cheering her on during the game on Jan. 15 in which she helped lead the Cougars to their 18th win of the season.
As of Jan. 16, Azusa Pa- cific was 18-2 overall and 9-1 in conference.
“It is always fun coming back to family and to people that you know are going to support you,” March said, after the game. “It reminds me that I am truly blessed and loved by people who
have been there for me since day one.”
March has started 48 out of 50 games so far in her Azusa Pacific career.
During the current 2017- 18 season, March has started at point guard for the Cou- gars in all 20 games.
March is averaging 7.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and two steals per game.
March's season high in points and assists came in a game on Nov. 18 against Western Washington. She had 18 points and 11 assists.
With 10 games remain- ing in the regular season, March said she is going to keep trying to find ways to improve.
“I am going to continue to grow and develop,” March said. “I just want to do any- thing possible to help my team be the best we can be.”

Krystale Gutierrez had
46 points, 15 rebounds, 10 steals and four assists to lead the Eagles to a 78-68 win over Firebaugh High School on Dec. 28 in the second round of the Clovis Kiwanis Classic. She then averaged 14 points and 13 rebounds during the Immanuel Invitational Jan. 3 to 6. Gutierrez and the Eagles are currently 11-5 overall on the season.
