COVID-19 cuts back Ruiz Foods production
SANGER UNIFIED Continued from page A2
Ruiz Foods, who has plants in Dinuba and Tulare, has had to scale back on production as more than 100 employees recently tested positive for the COVID-19 Coronavirus.
Health officials say a total of 107 positive cases had been con- firmed as of early this week, with 85 of those being Tulare County residents and 22 from Fresno County.
Ruiz Foods is now implementing temperature screening and man- datory mask wearing. In addition, the company is enhancing their sanitation process and improv- ing physical distancing within the facility. Team members who have been exposed to those infected are also placed off work for a minimum of 14 days.

Kings water releases begin
with ceremonies as planned,” said Jones in the letter.
Depending on the level of restrictions at month’s end, seniors at Sanger High School could still have their ceremony at the Save Mart Center in Fres- no on June 5, a date the school still has re- served. As for Kings River and TAFT, those ceremonies will be held on May 29 at the WAMS Theater. Hall- mark Charter School is scheduled to have their graduation ceremony at the Saroyan Theatre on June 6.
But in the event so- cial distancing guide- lines remain in effect come graduation time, the district is allowing students to still walk across the stage in cap and gown, an oppor- tunity and tradition Jones and the district say the students de- serve.
Students will be al- lows to walk in cap and gown, receive their di- ploma and have pro- fessional photos taken of them on an ap- pointment basis. The students will also be filmed during the pro- cess and parts of the traditional commence- ment exercises will be pre-recorded and later edited together in a

In keeping with
Fresno County De- partment of Public Health guidelines, the district will be limiting the number of family members, two, who can attend the photo shoot.
“While we realize that this is not what any of us were hop- ing for,” Jones added. “We want to recognize and honor you in the manner in which you deserve. Sanger Uni- fied is proud of al our graduates, you are for- ever our students.”
Dates and appoint- ments will be released by each school this week.
