It took deputies with the Fresno County Sher- iff ’s Office one round from a handgun, as well as one round from a less lethal rifle, and a deployed taser strike to finally subdue a Sanger man on the afternoon of April 30.
The man later was identified as 36-year-old Ronald Harris.
According to a state- ment released from the depart- ment, a call for service was made to dis- patch- ers close to 12:30 p.m. at a home on East Ashlan Avenue between Greenwood and Acad-
emy Avenues.
The caller indicated
that a man was choking a woman while two small children were also pres- ent inside the home.
Deputies arrived on the property and sur- rounded the home. The female victim was able to free herself from Harris; however, the two small children remained inside the home.
