 Arrest made in Dinuba hit and run MVT Staff Report
Dinuba police arrested a man who struck and critically injured a pedestrian with his vehicle before fleeing the scene on Sept. 25.
Dinuba police said Jovanni Ley- va Romero, 20, was stopped and arrested near the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant on West El Monte Way, shortly after striking the female pedestrian in the 6500 block shortly after 6 p.m.
The victim, later identified as Angela Price, was transported to Community Regional Medical Cen- ter in Fresno with critical injuries and was scheduled to undergo sur- gery, according to police.
Romero was booked into the Tu- lare County Pre-Trial facility on a charge of felony hit and run.

• Robbery was reported, and officers made an arrest in the 2100 block of 5th Street. • A person was arrested for suspected domestic violence at 8th Street and DeWitt Av- enue.
• Officers made an arrest for suspected battery at Newmark and North av- enues.
• A traffic stop at Academy and Church avenues result- ed in the arrest of the driver for suspected DUI.
• Vandalism was reported at 5th and J streets.
• A person was arrested for suspected domestic violence at Quality and Magnolia av- enues.

and suspected threats.
• The theft of multiple catalytic converters were reported at1:15
p.m. in the 100 block of West Tulare Street. The saw used in the thefts re- portedly was left behind. • Reckless driving in- volving a loud motorized scooter was reported at 5:24 p.m. in the 1500 block of Golden Way.
• Residential burglary was reported at 6:09 p.m. in the 600 block of Ver- mont Avenue.
• An assault was report- ed at 9:12 p.m. in the 100 block of North O Street. • A possible DUI was reported at 9:52 p.m. in the 500 block of West El Monte Way.
Friday, October 1
• A transient in Dinuba was arrested suspected assault with a deadly weapon at 12:37 a..m. in the 300 block of South Alta Avenue.
• An assault was report- ed at 12:38 a.m. in the 1200 block of East Sierra Way.
• A possible DUI was reported at 1:20 a.m. in the 700 block of West El Monte Way.
• Vehicle theft of a truck was reported at 6:11 a.m. in the 200 block of South P Street.
• A disturbance involv- ing two females and a knife was reported at 9:07 a.m. in the 700 block of Pacific Circle Drive. • A Selma man was ar- rested for suspected DUI and outstanding warrants at 7:37 p.m. in the 100 block of Bates Avenue.
• A disturbance involv- ing a male on a bicycle was reported at 9:31 p.m. in the 800 block of East El Monte Way,.
Saturday, October 2
• The theft of tools from a truck was reported at 9:46 a.m. in the 600 block of Hayes Avenue.
• Two females report- edly entered a residence in the 200 block of South P Street,, broke and took items. The crime was re- ported at 10:26 a.m.
• The theft of a cell- phone was reported at 4:27 p.m. in the 700 block of West El Monte Way.
• Up to 16 subjects were involved in a physical altercation at Delgado Park at 4:30 p.m.
• Three juveniles with backpacks were report- ed trespassing at 7:29 p.m. by jumping the
fence near Walgreens in the 200 block of South Alta Avenue.
• A physical disturbance involving a man and woman was reported at 8:38 p.m. in the 1300 block of East El Monte Way.
• Vehicle vandalism was reported at 11:41 p.m. in the 300 block of South M Street.

• The theft of a truck was reported at 8:38 a.m,. in the 100 block of North J Street.
• Vehicle vandalism was report at 9:19 a.m. in the 200 block of South K Street.
• A non-injury traffic collision was reported at 10:19 a.m. at South K and Ventura streets.
• A cold vehicle van- dalism was reported at 11:12 a.m. in the 1200 block of West Kelly Drive.
