ing on and off the court.” Toews also said that he is happy with how the team is playing midway through the
season.
“I’ve said this so many
times, but I can’t say it enough: I’m so blessed to have a team that overflows with a great group of ladies. It is a joy for Coach Brandt, Coach Goertzen and myself every day on the court with these ladies,” Toews said. “Having common goals of giving our all and perform- ing at the top of our game daily makes for a great team. Team Captain Grace Goertzen has been excelling this season. She truly puts in the effort during practices and even on her own time to make sure she’s at the top of her game and it shows. In the Firebaugh tournament, where she placed first in sin- gles, she won five straight matches with 41 games won and only three lost.”
Toews also said he would
like to thank all the support the team has received this season.
“I’d like to give a shout out and thank my grandma, Jennie Sandoval, for her continued support of the Im- manuel Lady Eagles Team.” Toews said.
