A 40-year-old Dinuba man died in an early morning crash on Highway 99 south of Modesto in Stanislaus County on June 18.
The Stanislaus County Coro- ner's Office on June 22 identified the victim as Melchor Valencia Madrigal.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Valencia Madri-
gal was driving a 2006 Ford sedan at an unknown speed on the free- way south of Taylor Road near Turlock sometime before 5:30 a.m. when for unknown reasons his car veered to the right off the road's edge. The Ford continued in a southwest direction, entered a dirt ditch and crashed through a barbed wire fence before overturning and coming to rest on its roof.
When emergency personnel
arrived at the scene, they found that Madrigal had succumbed to his injuries. He was the only oc- cupant in the vehicle.
The CHP report said an exact time of the crash was unknown. The emergency call was received sat 5:28 a.m. The driver was wear- ing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. The CHP said it's unknown if drugs and/or alcohol were a fac- tor in the crash.

• A tree fell over on the power lines at 7:02 a.m. in the 900 block of Acad- emy Avenue.
• An injury traffic col- lision occurred at 7:42 a.m. at El Monte Way and Perry Avenue.
• A non-injury traffic col- lision occurred at 10:57 a.m. in the 700 block of West El Monte Way.
• A male and female transient were reported trespassing at 9:40 p.m.
in the 200 block of South Alta Avenue.
Saturday, June 19
• Shots were reported fired 12:50 a.m. in the 7700 block of Avenue 430.
• A fire was reported at 7:17 a.m. in the open field near Auto Zone in the 1900 block of East El Monte Way.
• A missing juvenile was reported and later located at 12:48 p.m. in the 800 block of West El Monte Way.
• A female was reported trespassing in the back- yard of a residence in the 700 block of Bloomingda- le Avenue at 1:40 p.m.
• Identification theft using a Social Security number was reported at 8:29 p.m. in the 100 block of Palm Drive.
Sunday, June 20
• A Dinuba man was ar- rested for suspected DUI at 1:37 a.m. after a traffic stop in the 1800 block of South Alta Avenue.
• Shots were reported
fired at 2:25 a.m. 1500 block of South College Avenue.
• Theft of an umbrella was reported at 2:17 p.m. in the area if M and Mer- ced streets.
• A possible DUI was reported at 5:33 p.m. at El Monte Way and Road 56.
• The unlawful taking of a vehicle was reported at 6:07 p.m. in the 800 block of Short Avenue. • Officers arrested a ju- venile for possession of a stolen vehicle at 6:18 p.m. after a traffic stop in the 200 block of South O Street.
• An injury traffic col- lision occurred at 7:05 p.m. in the 22400 block of Floral Avenue.
• Illegal fireworks were reported at four loca- tions between 9 and 11:30 p.m. The locations were in the 800 block of North Pacific Circle, the 1100 block of Heather Avenue, the 1700 block of San Antonio Avenue and the 1000 block of North Alta Avenue.
