“Matt had an unbelievable game. Taking the role of quar- terback due to an injury, he re- ally showed leadership on the field,” Riddle said. “His ability
to embrace the leadership role as a junior is very welcomed. He plays hard always, even when banged up.”
Riddle also was happy with the play of Williams, Wood and Gurolla.
“Winston Williams is a force on the field, even though a soph- omore. Both sides of the ball usually find him in the middle of the mix,” Riddle said. “Derek Wood and Chris Gurrola played solid games. Their senior lead- ership is very welcome as well as their talent.”
Riddle also said that Wolf- gang Hoffman and Michael Kawagoe played well on the offensive line.
Riddle said that he still be- lieves the team can improve as the season moves along.

Tatmi said the team is staying focused on their goals and not on the record.
“As the season has pro- gressed, the team has contin- ued to remained focused on
“I think we can be much better. We have some very tough games ahead, so the opportunity to be tested by fire is certainly ahead of us.” Riddle said.
Riddle said he was hap- py with the effort the team showed in their game against Quincy High, which required the Eagles to make a six-hour drive.
“Our trip to Quincy was abnormal for a high school football team. Considering all of the distractions that come with a game like, the boys were great,” Riddle Said. “Both the junior varsity and varsity teams had big wins and we look forward to a spir- ited contest against a great CVC program.”
getting better. We go into every match believing that we can compete with anyone,” Tatami said. “The team understands that we take every single match very seriously and that their effort sometimes may make the difference. With so many seniors and very strong team leadership, the work needed and adjustments being made are never a problem. The team focus has always been to reach the post season and find success there, so their overall mind set continues to never look back, but to look forward.”
Tatami also said that he

Everest Jennings led the Reedley College defense with seven tackles, while Lazavier Moore had six. Ti-
hopes the team can continue to keep playing the way he knows they are capable of playing.
“The team’s success to this point has been the ef- forts made by every player and their understanding of their role in what we are trying to accomplish. We have also been able to do this by being on the road as we have only played two home matches. The closeness of the team is extraordinary and really helps to bond the team,” Tatami said. “That closeness also helps in the

“We are so much more complete on the offensive side of the ball. We have built the roster to the point were now it is just can we go and win matchups,” Marty said. “We have what it takes and the confidence to win foot- ball games. We are learn- ing how to win and having guys step up and make the game changing play. Our de- fense made some plays and Randall Johnson and Mason Layton made a play to end the game.”
Marty was thrilled by the crowd support that was shown to the team against Yuba College.
“I really attribute the community support to the investment we have made in the community as a pro- gram. We volunteer at least once a month for an event in the community,” Marty said. “Whether it is setting up for a street fair or a breast can- cer awareness type deal. You will see our players out there doing stuff year round. We have invested into the greater Reedley area and they are giving back. This is the best community support I have seen. We are starting to give them winning foot- ball again.”
matches as they will always count on each other for sup- port when needed. We have another big week coming up with two away matches and the Visalia Tournament. The team again faces a big chal- lenge, which I believe they will continue to rise up and meet.
I hope that once we are done with the pre-season match schedule and are able to come home, that we will continue to receive the ex- traordinary support from the community that we have been given.”
