AYear of Triumph for 2 R YORKS as it continues the role of The Next Generation Combat Team. Successfully completing numerous exercises from Project Convergence Capstone 4 within Fort Irwin, The Mojave Desert to the streets of Swindon on LIVEX, while bringing huge success within Sport & AT. In the realm of military prowess, the mark of a successful year as the Unit’s ability to adapt, excel, and achieve itsobjectives,testingandchallenging the Infantry’s warfighting concepts and capabilities both at home and abroad. For 2 R YORKS, this past year has been nothing short of a testament to dedication, resilience and strategic brilliance.

environments demanded flexibility and innovation. By embracing new tactics, leveraging cutting-edge technology, and drawing on lessons learned, 2 R YORKS demonstrated its ability to thrive in dynamic and unpredictable scenarios.
Continuous Training and Development: The pursuit of excellence is an ongoing endeavour, through an uplift of The Dale Barracks Gymnasium, rigorous training regimes, professional development opportunities, and newly developed Level 1 & 2 PT structure ensured the Unit is committed to staying at the forefront of military capability.
The success of a 2 R YORKS is measured not only by its victories on the battlefield but also by its resilience, adaptability, and commitment to excellence within Sport & Adventurous Training. Through a year of overseas deployments and UK training exercises, this unit has demonstrated its ability to compete at the highest level of Sport with the on-going development of the Boxing Team and the Football Team winning the UK North League 2, The Alpine Ski Team having huge success at the Infantry Alpine Skiing Championships, winning the Night Slalom Race, 2nd Place Team Overall & 3rd Place finishes for the Regular & Super Team Combined.

A fantastic year for 2 R YORKS overall with The Battalion now switching its focus to another challenging Forecast of Events (FoE) with the continuation of trialling the next generation of warfighting equipment & autonomous platforms while preparing its move to Warminster Garrison.
