2019 was a year in which The Sandhurst Trust, The RMA Sandhurst charity, contin- ued to grow.
The charity continued to support leadership activities around the Academy in the form of grants for Adventurous Training, and over 600 Cadets benefitted from leadership grants to off- set the cost of their expeditions. Several of the expedition reports are elsewhere in this edition and reflect the variety of activities undertaken and countries visited. The Trust also supported a small number of UOTC and expeditions led by Trust members out in the Field Army.
91 Sandhurst medals were presented to Inter- national cadets in the week of their commis- sion. The medal, provided by the charity and presented by The Commandant, is a tangible reminder of a year at RMAS and one which sev- eral countries have given permission for their officers to wear. The Trust has also sold a further 135 medals to international alumni who commis- sioned before December 2016. Several medals were also presented by The Commandant to vis- iting senior alumni.
