On Friday the 4th October the Somme Com- pany hosted their Charity Dinner featuring a raffle, an auction and a ceilidh. The theme
for OCdts guests was: ‘people who will support you in your career’. Following that
Kashkets, and, of course, the signed photos of our very own American Cadet, Cole Manhart, in his NFL days.
vein, we saw a great mix of civilian and military guests on the night, from childhood friends and sib- lings to fiancés.
Without the charisma and verve of these two, the auction would certainly not have been as successful.
A bugle call signalled the start of din- ner and everyone took their seats. The dining room was laid out in a less formal manner than usual, with individual tables filling two sides of the room, separated by a dance floor and the stage for the band.
