the rest of the week. Colonel Theakston really pushed us, we were on the first lift of the day and we were on the mountain till the lifts stopped. If he thought we were finding a certain piste too easy, he’d find ways to make it more difficult, all the while giving us pointers to improve.
We’d like to take this final moment to thank the Sandhurst Trust for contributing to Ex AUS- TRIAN ASCENT. In my mind it was an extremely well-planned and well-executed expedition that
truly embodies what AT is all about. We were constantly challenged to push ourselves further while experiencing that controlled exposure to risk. We developed our leadership skills, team- work, physical fitness and moral and physi- cal courage. On top of that, we also gained a greater appreciation for what AT can do for sol- diers at our future units. I am more excited than ever to put into practice everything I learnt on this trip and am keen for AT to become a key part of my future career.
