Freedom Parades – Worcester and Derby
2 MERCIAN exercised their freedom to march through Worcester and Derby on the 25th and 28th June. Two fantastic days which will be remembered for a long time by the soldiers present, they were well supported and the councils from both put on a great reception afterwards. These days are very special for all involved, especially when the families are present to watch. The march through Derby was especially poignant as it started with a service at Derby Cathedral where we were joined by the families of Rupert Bowers, Martin Horton and Brian Tunnicliffe.
