A General Market is held every Tuesday along the High Street, offering a range of produce, breads, sweets, plants and household goods. In September Thrapston Town Council took over the Market. We hope to expand the stalls offered and support the market to continue serving
the community of Thrapston and bring more shoppers into the High Street.
The Thrapston Livestock Centre is based on Market Road and holds weekly agricultural sales for prime stock and store stock. Throughout the year special sales for the public are held including a Christmas poultry sale and a monthly Fur and Feather sale on first Saturdays. It is the last remaining livestock market in the region

Thrapston Farmers Market is held in Thrapston High Street on the first Saturday of each month (apart from January), 9am to 1pm.

The market stalls are carefully curated for you by the Farmers Market Committee, who stick to a 30 mile radius of Thrapston wherever possible when seeking stall-holders. An exception is made for Farrell’s Fish which sells a wide range of fresh fish
This friendly, well-stocked market began
in 2014 and offers fresh locally produced
food and drink. There’s something for
every occasion from staples like meat, fruit and vegetables to artisan cheeses, handmade speciality breads and local honey. A local vineyard in Lowick provides white, rosé and sparkling wines. A new microgreens grower, based right here in Thrapston, was recently enlisted as a stallholder too. The market selection varies with the seasons; you can
At times local charities and community groups attend the market to promote themselves within the town. Town Councillors also attend regularly

It is the last remaining livestock market in the region for which we are proud
and seafood from Grimsby in Lincolnshire. Shopping local doesn’t just support
local businesses. There are more practical benefits too, including minimising your carbon footprint and supporting local causes. Community minded volunteers run the Farmers Market and the profits are donated locally. Since the Market’s inception the Committee has raised around £14,000, every penny of which has supported good causes and community projects in Thrapston.
