The Nottingham branch held their Christmas social evening at the ATC Bulwell: the home of C Company 4 MERCIAN. It was a very successful evening organised by the branch secretary, Phil Squires, who organised it from his hospital bed. He never for one moment gives up. He is determined to make sure that events take place.
Members of the Kidderminster branch went on their annual boat trip; this time
it was around the ‘Black Country’. Ted Rowley and Bernard Pratt found they
had competition this year! This event
was followed by a BBQ at the Shrubbery. Fortunately, we were blessed with good weather on both occasions. The August meeting of the branch was held at the Stourport Royal British legion when we were joined by the ladies for lunch. A ‘Ladies’ Day ‘lunch was held again at the ‘Island
Pool’ Inn at Caunsal near. Kidderminster. The final social evening of the Year was
the Christmas Social held at the Shrubbery when a large number of members and friends enjoyed the evening. Our friends from the Kidderminster Branch of the WFRA Association, the Parachute Association and the Royal British Legion were able to join with the members.
Music on the Boat Trip – girl power takes over!

Christmas Celebrations at the Shrubbery. An excellent supper was provided by Mr & Mrs john Burrows. Mr & Mrs Burrows have been stalwart supporters of the Branch for many years. John was a PSI for a number of years and Mrs Burrows the caretaker. The Branch is very grateful for their support over the years
The Stockport contingent of MVRA Members and current Mercian members at the 69th Annual East Cheshire Re-Union held ‘The Armoury’ Stockport on October 27th. The Stockport Branch will be very involved with the organisation of the Re Union in 2019
