THE REGIMENTAL AND MUSEUM SHOP
It has been another frustrating year for the Shop. The year started with it being closed because of Government COVID guidelines and the staff on fur- lough. Unfortunately, when the Castle opened up to visitors the Shop had to remain closed because of the work being done to replace the air-conditioning and so, for the majority of the year, the only income was online sales. At the beginning of September the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager took some stock to Leuchars to sell on the day of the Regimental Highland Games but it was with great relief when the Shop reopened to the public on 18 September. Despite the limited num- bers coming through the Museum, the takings in the Shop were as good as could be hoped for. The Assistant Manager, Allan Nelson, has also been heavily involved in the Harnessing Our Network project and moving
the Shop from its old platform to the new one where, it is hoped, the online sales will increase.
