National Fitness Day 2021
By the PEd Flt
National Fitness Day 2021 took place on Wednesday 22nd September and was a chance to highlight the role physical activity plays across the UK and its importance in helping us lead healthier lifestyles through physical activity.
As part of an RAF Central Fund initiative and in conjunction with MyZone, RAF Wyton competed against 12 other stations over a 24-hour period to see how many MyZone effort points (MEPs) could be accumulated throughout the period. A close fought battle between ourselves, RAF
Honington and RAF Fylingdales, saw us just pip the top spot by 10 MEPs, meaning victory in the first multi-unit competition of its kind. A big thanks to all that took part in the day, including members of 42 Eng and Caroles Body conditioning class, who earned a huge amount of points between them. If you are interested in securing a MyZone belt (£45 each) to enable you to take part in next year’s event, please contact the PEd Flt for further details.
