POTTED FACTS ON THE
CADETS APPOINTED TO
THEIR NEW POSITIONS:
Leading Cadet Lydia Moynihan has always been

fundraisers for events such as the Beverley Masonic
Lodge Ladies Day, HM Jubilee Service, D Day
Anniversary event, VJ Day Celebrations, Memorial
Service for HM The Queen, Freedom of the City
Parades, Remembrance Sunday, Seafest, Church
Parades and more. She takes part in all parades, also
taking on a Standard Bearer’s Role at short notice
where her standards with dress and drill are always

the younger members of the Ship’s Company and

when required. She volunteers her spare time to
help instruct other cadets. She has a fantastic sense
of humour that puts people around her at ease and
never stops smiling, even when under pressure or out
of her comfort zone.
Cadet Company Sergeant Major Emma McDowall
demonstrated exemplary dedication and
perseverance in the aftermath of the COVID-19
pandemic. Although her initial Zoom training
was far from ideal, since joining Wolfe Armoury's
Detachment, she has exhibited unwavering
leadership and a dynamic willingness to confront
any challenge with fortitude and fervour. As new
members joined the detachment, she emerged
as a natural leader, inspiring and serving as a
role model to her fellow cadets. During her cadet
service, she has honed her teaching skills, advancing
through the ranks while continuing to support and
encourage her peers and adult volunteers. Thanks
to her hard work and diligence, she has been able
to refine and enhance her competence and poise in
tutoring younger cadets, which has proven to be an
exhilarating experience and has helped her to forge
new connections and bolster her confidence.
Cadet Warrant Officer Emily Edmiston volunteers
at weekends in support of the Wing’s Aerospace
Centre, where she instructs intense aerospace
experience days to more junior cadets. Subject
matter includes the principles of flight and aircraft
control functions both in winch-launch and powered
aircraft. These simulations run both on screen

volunteered on an oncology ward, supporting
in-patients at a local hospital.
Leading Cadet Sonny Hague has always been an

Cadet Sergeant Major Zoe McCosh is the Senior
Cadet at her detachment where she leads by

She has supported Stokesley detachment and A
Company in the community, has represented the
County at Regional and National sports events,
holding multiple National Cadet Champion titles,
being crowned Cadet Sports Personality of the Year

hard work in the ACF. She is an inspiration to other
cadets and is an excellent mentor.
Cadet Warrant Officer Kiyan Eiles is an ever

Walk, has attended memorial services for both fallen
service personnel and fellow cadets in addition to

never fails to make himself available for the annual
RAFA Wings and RBL Poppy collections, alongside
his attendance at every Act of Remembrance parade.
He is an excellent communicator who converses well
with both cadets and senior officers alike. In addition,
he is a positive can-do individual, who leads from
the front, and is able to effectively and appropriately
delegate roles and responsibility, where required.
Cadet Flight Sergeant Leon Tabiner-Taylor is totally
