Midlands Report
Since our last report we have been
very busy and have manned a stand at Gardeners World Live at the NEC in mid June.
We arrived to organise our stand on the Tuesday afternoon to find no stand had been erected, after some discussion one
of the organisers staff indicated where our stand would be erected so we arranged our tables and laid out our clothes and leaflets, fertilisers and our Children’s corner with
the assistance of Wendy my wife, daughter Anna and Albert one of our committee members. We then arrived
back on the Wednesday
to remember for next year. We manned the stand for four days with the help of Peter Chamberlain, Hardeep Kaur, Albert Walker, Wendy Brickstock and Anna Brickstock and myself and I would like to thank everyone for their help.
By the time this edition of Simply Veg is published our Show Secretary Roy James will have run our mini-Veg show. Roy has been running
day stand at Worcester Flower Show in an effort to further publicise to the public the existence of the National Vegetable Show and hand out more membership forms, we had previously handed out lots at the NEC and hopefully gain more members.
We are looking forward to our meeting the last Thursday in November when Darren Rudge, a well-known lecturer and radio presenter of gardening programs will be telling us how to save money by using every day household products to help
us in our gardening endeavours and we welcome existing and new members along with gardening enthusiasts,

clearer but nevertheless he awarded us a silver and said had the labels been clearer he would have awarded us a gold. A point
