Welcoming Forces families since 1803
Offering high-quality education and outstanding pastoral care, The Duke of York’s Royal Military School is a top boarding school choice for Forces families. With outstanding academic resources, unrivalled facilities, comprehensive support sys- tems, and a welcoming community, students (affectionately known as Dukies), find a true home away from home within the150-acre Kent estate. The student-centred approach fosters confidence and competence across academics, sports, arts, and leadership. Dedicated teachers and pastoral staff guide stu- dents toward excellence both academically and socially. Open to students aged 11–18, the school provides a rich learning envi- ronment with Saturday morning lessons, small class sizes, and over 100 co-curricular activities. Students leave with elevated grades, lifelong friendships, and a sense of pride in upholding the esteemed Dukie Values. Those qualifying for the continuity of education allowance are only required to pay £506 per term (£1,517 per annum). Welcoming students from Forces families since 1803
The Duke of York’s Royal Military School is committed to supporting the British Forces and is sponsored by the Ministry of Defence. In recognition of this, parental contribution for those eligible for the Continuity of Education Allowance is only £506 per term (£1,517 per annum). Students make outstanding progress academically, with students from Forces families achieve over 3⁄4 of a grade high than the national average. Our full-boarding community, offering continuity of education, is home to over 200 students from Forces families. We pride ourselves on offering outstanding pastoral care, ensuring students feel relaxed and happy in their home away from home.
