HARRY MCCORMACK’S MEMORIAL BENCH
Harry McCormack was a well-known and much-loved resident of Thrapston. Harry was very community minded and always supported what was going on in the town.
His widow, Cindy, has very kindly commissioned a lovely bench in his memory and this has been installed in the Scotney Way open area facing the sun. It provides a place for people to rest, soak up the sun and chat with their friends. The bench and the brass plaque were made by local businesses as Harry would have wanted. Harry loved living in Thrapston and the bench is a fitting tribute to him and something that can be enjoyed by everyone.
PLAZA COMMUNITY HALL
The Plaza community hall is a fantastic venue that is available to hire for parties, meetings, wedding receptions and exercise classes. For residents the hire fee is just £13.50 per hour, making it an affordable choice.
If you are interested in hiring it do contact the council office to check availability and, if you have never been inside, arrange to have a tour round to see if it suits your requirements.
