VENTURE
Oundle goes back in time...
Following the run-away success of the inaugural event in 2019, Oundle Vintage Festival will return this Spring with the main event set for Saturday 18th May. The streets of Oundle will be abuzz with a huge variety of displays, performances and activities
all themed on yesteryear. The organisers are planning a bigger and better event that promises to be a memorable day out for thousands of visitors and residents, and to raise funds for community projects too.
Oundle Vintage Festival was born back in 2019 when the first run of the event not only received rave reviews but raised just over £10,000 to help repair the Town Clock on St Peter’s Church. Originally intended as a one-off, lead organisers Oundle Business Association took the decision to run it again in 2020 but due to the pandemic were forced to cancel. The Vintage Festival is returning, this time backed by grant funding from Oundle Town Council and North Northants Council. With renewed energy and extra resources, the organisers
are confident that the major one-day festival planned for 2024 will raise the bar in terms of the vintage experience, whilst remaining a free
to all, ticketless event.
The OVF volunteer organising committee are
now busy lining up plenty of vintage inspired displays and entertainments, all of which will
be take place in the central streets of Oundle from 10am to 4pm for one day only on May 18th. These will include: steam engines, vintage tractors, classic cars and motorbikes, a cycle rally, a vintage market, an old-style fairground, children’s entertainers, a mini-railway, afternoon teas, street performers, as well as an artisan
