As the nights draw in and we approach the end of the year, and of course Christmas, we find ourselves in the most unique of times. Life is different, on an unprecedented scale and, as yet we cannot see any indicators
of when we might return to some sense of normality. The pandemic has infected many and affected many more, and this is on a global scale unimaginable this time last year.
With all the uncertainty, we need an anchor to hold on to, a level of certainty in which we can trust. Faith in God provides such an anchor, for He is unchanging in nature.
In a few weeks’ time we will still be celebrating an event, the significance
of which we must not miss. God did something on a global scale which, unlike the pandemic, was for the benefit of every human being. Of course, I am talking about Christmas and Christ coming into our world. It is precisely because of this event that Thrapston Baptist Church, and indeed any Christian church, exists. So please do join us each week as we meet in various ways, details are as follows:
• We continue to meet each week online via Zoom; on Sunday mornings for worship, Wednesday evenings for prayer and in our LIFEgroups on various days. If you’d like to join us, you can find all the links on our website www.thrapstonbaptist.co.uk.
• If you are unable to make the live services, they are recorded and available to view
at a time convenient to you, these can be accessed via the downloads section on our website.
Finally, a reminder: we have set up a special ‘Prayer Request’ contact form so that you can contact us, in confidence, and ask us to pray with you or for you or your family. Find the link on the website, or directly on: www. thrapstonbaptist.co.uk/prayer-requests

Due to increasing numbers at Mass in Thrapston there is now an additional Mass on Sunday mornings at 9.30am as well as the Mass at 11.30am. There is a weekday Mass in Thrapston on Thursday mornings
at 10.00am. Please continue to check the weekly newsletter on the website for up to date information. This can also be viewed on St Paul’s church door.
The church will be sanitised between
the 9.30am and 11.30am services and all Masses are COVID-19 compliant. We are adhering to social distancing rules and are bound by the latest government initiative, the rule of 6. We can host more than six persons, but no one should visit in groups of more than six unless they are from the same household or ‘bubble’.
At the time of writing (30.9.20) congregation members are advised:-
• Numbers are limited so please obey the
Stewards and follow the one-way system. • Please keep social distance (1 metre +)
and wear a face covering or mask.
• During the Mass, Holy Communion will be
brought to you in your place by the Priest or Eucharistic Minister. Please stand if you wish to receive, on the hand only with arms extended fully. No personal “Amen” is spoken.
• Music will be played by the organist. There is no singing except by the cantor.
• Track and Trace: please continue to give your details upon entry, some are bringing pre-completed forms which saves time. We are hoping to be able to Live-Stream
Mass from Our Lady’s in Corby very soon. Don’t forget to log on to the website to
keep up to date with arrangements: https:// www.ourladyofwalsinghamcorby.org
