Rifle Meeting (CTRM) which was held at Beckingham Ranges near Newark on Saturday 11 May.
In poor weather, heavy rain showers and gusting winds, CTRM was particularly hard this year. The competitions were fired using the L81 A2 7.62mm Cadet Target Rifle from 300, 500 and 600 metres.
Although the team had less training than in previous years the hard work paid off with Derbyshire ACF winning all of the team matches.

Between 1 April 2012 to 31 March 2013, 68 young people from the County were awarded DofE passes after completing a range of different projects and activities such as volunteering and expeditions.
The DofE scheme is split into three
levels and can be completed by young people aged from 14 to 24 years. It is one of the world’s most popular development programmes and all cadets are encouraged to enter and complete DofE awards.
Hayley Holmes, aged 16, from
C Company’s Heanor Detachment in Derbyshire, is one of the cadets to achieve her DofE certificate in the last year. She said: “I was able to work towards my silver certificate whilst taking part in first aid, drill, target shooting and expeditions through the
