Badger had spent the afternoon reminiscing about his youth, remembering the old fairy queen, Sophronia. It was said that she had designed and organised the building of the original granite fairy palace in the Wylder Forest. She had brought traditional values to her new realm and although she wasn’t popular, she had been instrumental in bringing together the gnomes, elves and fairies from far off kingdoms.
Her hair was as blue as the sky and her gown and wings were golden. It was rumoured that when she brushed her hair, strands would float in the wind and settle in the nearby meadows.
