Fay Fox had been afraid to leave her workshop door open ever since she’d spoken to Alfie Squirrel. If there was a strange fox wandering in the wood she certainly didn’t want it disturbing her when she was working. A tap at the door startled her so she called out: ‘Who is it?’
‘Open the door, Fay. It’s Sadie and the girls.’
‘Hello everyone. Excuse the mess. I’m in the middle of a big tile order. I received your note, Sadie. How much time do we have to perform this miracle?’ asked Fay.
‘I have no idea. Alfie didn’t say. It’s all a bit hush hush right now. He believes that most woodland animals won’t even know that a sting has taken place.’
‘What do you mean – a sting?’ asked Fay.
