Corporal Mather
Another year has swiftly passed by; however, the Guardroom remains the driving force of the Regiment’s continued success both at home and abroad. The Guardroom nightlife continues to be a thriving hub, with its constant appeal for some after-work activity proving popular with many loyal members, who subsequently ensure that the Regimental Duty Staff are kept busy. With the forecast of events promising for another demanding year, the Regimental Duty Staff set out to implement the RSM’s policy and ensure that the highest standards were being adhered to.
2023 started off with Sgt Stodart promoting to Ssgt and moving into a new demanding role within RHQ
Whilst the remainder of CO’s TAC deployed to OP Newcombe in Mali.
On returning from OP Newcombe RSM’s changed over with WO1 RSM Laing taking the stick and continuing the strive for excellence throughout the regiment.
As the regiment ready’s itself for Ex WESSEX STORM so does the guard room with the RSM and RDC ready to be the standard for crews throughout the regiment along with 1 as of yet unamed lucky member of the regiment that will make up the 3rd member of the crew.
