Minutes of Annual General Meeting
Thursday 19th September 2024
Members Present (14):
Commiee members (5): Andy Webb, Pat Croon, Carol Goulden, Nigel Coldico and Greg Hope.
Other members (9): Bev Atkins, Pat Blundell, Simon Danna, Julie Fish, John Frone, Marn Harrison, Mike Pollard, Mark Taylor and Nik Ward.
Chair Andy Webb opened the Zoom meeng at 7.30PM and welcomed all the mem- bers aending. He explained that the format of the AGM is a lile unusual, in that it is intended to be a ‘communicaon’ between Commiee and Members, rather than a ‘formal’ vong approach, to reflect the wide geographical spread of members and the impraccality of members actual gathering in a specific locaon, as GBC had in fact done originally. He commented on the usefulness of the virtual Zoom approach for the AGM, rather than a physical one, as it enabled all members who wished to aend to do so from across the UK.

2 Minutes of the 2023 AGM
Minutes of the 2023 AGM (as distributed to all aendees prior to this meeng) were agreed and approved.
3 Maers arising
There were no formal maers arising, but some minor or connuing topics would be covered during the various reporng elements during the AGM.
4 Chair’s Report
Andy talked us through his report covering GBC’s acvies and progress during the year. He noted that eight Commiee Members connued from last year, and were joined during the 12-month period by Nigel Coldico, a long-standing member who comes with much experience from a business background. We are always on the look- out for new Commiee Members, and would welcome anyone interested in taking on a more acve role in the Club.
We have provided a reasonable programme of over 70 events, including week-long trips to Slovenia, and to the Isle of Lewis, but fewer than in some recent years. This decrease comes down to one or two people taking a bit of a holiday from organising events, and has nothing to do with the fantasc job that Eva March and Sue Crane have been doing to collate our annual programme and ensure that we give out accu-
