The Artillery System Cooperation Agreement (ASCA) has been a key interoperability goal throughout this period, which seeks to expedite data fires with allied capabilities. The Rocket Troop have been the key driver of this integrator over the last 2 years with WO2 Rees winning the 2023 Lefroy Medal for his dedication to the pursuit of technological advances in artillery and now with SSgt Broatch the Rocket Troop delivered the first ASCA detach-
ment on Op CABRIT 6 months ahead of schedule, further proving the capability.
Op LAZURITE, the resettling of Afghan refugees has seen lots of military run reception sites across the UK, before the Afghan families can be moved to family accommodation. 1 RHA were tasked with opening a site in South Wales from a blank canvas and WO2 Kavwenje led the efforts. WO2 Kavwenje and his teams efforts were exemplary, marked out by the civilian authorities as the best site, providing a real service to the families.
