                                     THRAPSTON LADIES CLUB
Thrapston Ladies Club, meets at Thrapston Baptist Church, St Pauls Gardens, Thrapston NN14 4FE on the first Tuesday of every month at 7.30pm.
This year, in March, we celebrated
our 78th birthday! We are an informal group of ladies, who meet to listen to very interesting and varied speakers throughout the year, along with quiz nights and outings to various places such as Springfield Shopping centre. We also have an annual Christmas meal at a local venue. Our membership is now over 40 ladies and growing. New members are very welcome to join us. The cost for visitors is £3 for the first visit, then £30 annual membership, which includes tea/coffee/biscuits and
a raffle ticket. The prize is donated by members every month.
In August we are having a quiz night along with locally provided Fish N Chips. This should be a fun night for everyone to enjoy. So please do come along if you would just like to “try us out” or feel you would like to join us.
 ideas for future fairs.
I have enjoyed my time and made many
friends doing it. Thanks to stall holders, shop owners, Thrapston Town Council and you the community.
A lot of you remember Bryn Wright, we used to walk around the fair together, he was Mr Charter Fair – I really missed him this year. He always told me there were four things I forgot every year but I never found out what – but the fair always ran well. So hey ho!
Thank you everyone for the fantastic window displays each year – I was in a few this time!
Thanks Thrapston, it’s been a blast! God bless.
 COMMUNITY LIBRARY
We would like to thank everyone who supported them on Saturday June 29th, when they stayed open all day for the Thrapston Charter Fair.
The library sold chilled canned drinks, second hand books, had a Tombola stall and a homemade cakes and preserves stall. It also provided temporary respite from the heat for families with young children and the elderly. The grand total of £317.60 was raised for the Friends of Thrapston Library. The library also hosted the aRTy Designs Face Painter and Thrapston History Society displayed some of the history of Thrapston in the library’s meeting room.
