THE RIFLES AWARDS DINNER 2021
80 RIFLES The Bugle
The Biennial Awards Dinner 2021 bought together guests from
across The Rifles to celebrate the outstanding contribution in 2020 and 2021 of some selected Riflemen from within the Five Pillars of our fine Regiment.
The Duchess of Cornwall, The
Rifles Colonel-in-Chief, told guests
how “impressed and inspired” she continues to be by the Regiment. The Duchess joined five other members of the Royal Family at the Guildhall, City of London, on 24th November 2021.
Hosted by Colonel Commandant General Sir Patrick Sanders, 25 awards were presented to Riflemen from across the regiment. A diverse array of individuals both within and associated with The Regiment, were recognised for a wide range of achievements. Awards were present for achievements
of innovation, marksmanship, gallantry and successful charity fundraising efforts to name a few. Full details of the Award Winners can be found on SWIFT.
The Awards Dinner provided the opportunity to showcase the best that the Regiment has to offer to guests from across our communities. The evening included a performance by the RIFLES Buglers, which was
a sight to behold in such a prestigious venue.
The dinner was attended by over 100 serving Riflemen. Amongst them was Corporal Emilee Newbold, 5 RIFLES, who captured the audience with an inspiring speech about the integration of female Riflemen into our Regiment.
