                                 these advantages to the enemy.
We found that IWTS empowers soldiers
at all levels to enhance their skills in a safe environment. Personnel will benefit hugely from a portable training environment that
is quick and easy to set up and dismantle and can be changed to suit the specific operation. With its flatpack design, storage and easy transportation, IWTS is highly suited to military as it can be deployed to wherever a unit is based and reconfigured to create different layouts.
The system’s low logistic footprint and simplicity allow it to be used in barracks,
as well as other UK and overseas training areas, and in support of deployed overseas training teams. In addition to the IWTS we have procured the Marker Round Training Simunition (MRTS). This incorporates simunition conversion kit for SA80 and 9mm pistol.
TRACTABLE 19
The past 12 months has been an intensive period of Armoured fleet rehabilitation for the Quartermaster’s Technical department. 28 Armoured and 5 B Vehicles of the
1 MERCIAN BG fleet that deployed into the desert of Oman in 2018 on Ex SS3 have now made their way to Estonia under 20X QRH BG for OP CABRIT ROTO 5.
TRACTABLE is designed to test the United Kingdom’s 3rd Armoured Division’s ability to deploy an Armoured task force overseas for Operations. This activity has seen 1 MERCIAN establish a Fleet working group (FWG) of 54 Soldiers that included A and B Fleet crews along with REME from the LAD under the control of the QM(T) whose focus has been to complete an extremely intensive rehabilitation and over haul of the fleet in preparation for operations in Estonia.
The handover of the fleet to 20X began in the last 2 weeks of September and was completed by mid-October 19. The fleet was required to be JAMES Fully Fit, BCiP 5.6 and resprayed to Green. All Platforms have been uplifted to BCiP 5.6 from 5.5. This required the BES to be stripped out and sent to 2 different locations. The Uplift was completed over a period of 12 weeks. This BES was then re-fitted to each of the platforms post respray activity and tested.
The result was 33 platforms handed over to 6 different 20X units, over a thousand demands processed and hundreds of hours spent preparing the fleet for a successful deployment into Estonia for OP CABRIT ROTO 5.
