to the show because they had a better offer – they were getting married! Many thanks to them for the additional prizes of AutoPot systems for the winners of Class 20 Cucumbers, Sherie Plumb and Class 21 Tomatoes, Chris Spree.
Suddenly, after all the work and excitement, the show was over for another year. The exhibitors removed their exhibits and there was a frenzy as the remaining veg was sold to the public. The team went
to work, the show benches were stripped, the tent was cleared and one by one, the team went home. Once again, I was alone, making my last check around the tent to make sure nothing had been left behind.
The section was quiet once again. But I was sure I could still hear the echo of voices around the tent, even when everyone had gone.
