   More news from the Facilities Team
Unfortunately, the Facilities Team spend a fair amount of time addressing issues due to anti-social behaviour. Most recently we have had to make safe a vandalised fence
at the Windsor Drive play area,
make repairs to a memorial bench
in the Peace Park (vandalised for the
third time in the last couple of years)
and remove a fly-tipped washing
machine from Castle Playing Fields.
Council now manages. You may not have noticed but work has started on creating a new woodland path through this spinney.
 On a more positive note we have
worked with contractors to have a
tarmac path laid on top of a bund by
the spill way, near the sailing club. Last year it was extremely muddy there but now it should be passable in all weathers.
The path that goes from the bund to Nine Arches runs along a woodland that the
on a windy night we often wonder what damage will greet us in the morning!
The spinney originally had a number of paths going through it but these have long since become over-grown. By reinstating a path there will be an alternative route from Nine Arches through to Meadow Lane and the Town Walk. It will take some time
to complete but by working with volunteers from the Sailing Club we hope to provide another pleasant
woodland walk in this area of town.
The laying of an all-weather surface at
the toddler play in the Peace Park has now been completed. The new toddler play area has been extremely popular and the original
